[Marcus Burgess] My name is Marcus Burgess. I'm the Senior Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager for Sweet Green. I look at my job kind of as an extension of public health, really to ensure brand safety, but really also to protect the public. From day-to-day, really supporting our field operations team to ensure that we're serving safe food for our guests, ensuring that they have the support that they need to do so effectively.
When you have so many different outlets, trying to have compliance from coast to coast, being able to get in contact and explain in real time how do we resolve things in real time to be able to save products and make sure that we're being actionable. It's one of the things that's pretty challenging.
SmartSense has been amazing for us. We've been able to leverage that technology to support field ops. I think the dashboard and the real-time asset management and remote temperature monitoring helps us engage with our team members in real time. We're able to pick up the phone, send an e-mail, and be able to respond and react in real time and to be able to take the necessary steps to serve safe food.
