Trinity Health Medical Group leverages the SmartSense system by using all assets to monitor all of our Vaccines for Children program’s medication refrigerators. We are able to be compliant with all the Vaccines for Children regulations with the health department in order to ensure that we're able to provide the Vaccines for Children to young children.
The key challenges of compliance are ensuring that all of our responder teams are actually following the process when there is an excursion. With the SmartSense system, we're able to get alerts to the responders at the accurate times that will allow them to respond to that, and then acknowledge it in the system, and then ensure that they are following our recommended steps, to confirm that those vaccines are still valid and can be used in patient care.
SmartSense helps Trinity Health Medical Group succeed with the solution by being a partner with myself, ensuring that our account is functioning at its highest capacity, helping troubleshoot when it's not, providing recommendations to ensure that we get back in line, all of our assets are functioning, our gateways are functioning, and our assets are compliant with completeness certificates. It is important to ensure that we are compliant using the SmartSense system because it does affect patient care. In order to respond to all excursions, when we don't, then that could jeopardize the vaccines, and if they are used in patient care, then they would not be effective.
